Unser Kraftwerk auf dem Dach: Die Photovoltaikanlage
Bei uns im KOOS Hotel München haben wir unser eigenes kleines Kraftwerk – und zwar direkt auf dem Dach! Unsere Photovoltaikanlage, stolz platziert auf dem Hinterhaus, ist unser strahlender Beitrag zu einer grüneren Zukunft.
Seit Februar 2023 ist die Anlage in Betrieb und bringt mit einer Leistung von 50 kWp echte Energie-Revolution auf unser Dach. Diese sonnige Innovation versorgt uns nicht nur mit sauberer Energie, sondern ist auch ein klares Statement: Wir setzen auf Nachhaltigkeit, die sich auszahlt. Für uns, unsere Gäste und natürlich den Planeten. Jeden Tag wandelt sie Sonnenstrahlen in Strom um, mit dem wir Teile unseres Hotels betreiben. Das ist echte Power, die von oben kommt!
Und das Beste? Wir sind gerade dabei, noch einen Schritt weiterzugehen. Verhandlungen laufen, um unsere Solaranlage zu erweitern und noch mehr Sonnenenergie zu nutzen. Unser Ziel? Mehr grüne Energie, weniger CO2-Ausstoß und ein noch nachhaltigeres Hotel.

Energie der Zukunft: Unser Blockheizkraftwerk
Tief unter dem KOOS, genau dort, wo früher ein Öltank seinen Platz hatte, schlägt jetzt das Herz unserer hauseigenen Energieversorgung: unser Blockheizkraftwerk (BHKW). In Betrieb genommen im Februar 2022, markiert es einen wichtigen Meilenstein auf unserem Weg zu mehr Nachhaltigkeit und Effizienz.
Mit einer elektrischen Leistung von 10,7 bis 20,0 kW und einer Heizleistung von 29,1 bis 45,8 kW ist unser BHKW ein echtes Kraftpaket. Es versorgt uns nicht nur mit Strom, sondern auch mit Wärme – und das auf eine Weise, die umweltschonender nicht sein könnte. Indem wir den alten Öltank ausrangiert und durch dieses moderne System ersetzt haben, haben wir einen weiteren Schritt weg von fossilen Brennstoffen und hin zu einer grüneren, nachhaltigeren Energiequelle gemacht.
Das Prinzip hinter einem Blockheizkraftwerk ist einfach, aber genial: Es erzeugt gleichzeitig Strom und nutzbare Wärme durch Kraft-Wärme-Kopplung. Das bedeutet, dass wir unsere Energieeffizienz drastisch steigern und unseren CO2-Fußabdruck signifikant reduzieren können. Mit jedem Watt Strom und jeder Wärmeeinheit, die unser BHKW produziert, bewegen wir uns weiter in Richtung eines autarken und umweltfreundlichen Hotelbetriebs.
Wir sind stolz darauf, mit dieser Initiative einen positiven Beitrag zum Klimaschutz zu leisten und gleichzeitig unseren Gästen ein nachhaltiges Übernachtungserlebnis zu bieten. Indem wir in solche zukunftsweisenden Technologien investieren, zeigen wir, dass uns die Umwelt am Herzen liegt und dass wir aktiv an der Gestaltung einer lebenswerten Zukunft mitwirken.

Alle Produkte werden in großen Gebinden gekauft und ansprechend präsentiert, sodass für unsere Gäste beim Essen kein Müll entsteht. Wir setzen damit ein klares Zeichen gegen Verschwendung und für bewussten Konsum.
Wir setzen nicht nur auf Müllvermeidung beim Frühstück, sondern auch auf Nachhaltigkeit „to go“. Dank unserer Partnerschaft mit ReCup und Rebowl bieten wir Speisen und Getränke in wiederverwendbaren Behältern an. So machen wir es unseren Gästen leicht, aktiv Müll zu reduzieren und unsere Umwelt zu schonen.
Effizientes Abfallmanagement und Recycling sind für uns selbstverständlich. Wir trennen unseren Müll sorgfältig und setzen, wo immer möglich, auf recycelbare Materialien. Selbst die Kapseln für die Maschinen in den Gästezimmern sind aus Holz und vollständig recycelbar.

Von der Autobahn Richtung Zentrum/Hauptbahnhof dem Altstadtring folgen und bis zur Sonnenstraße 18b.
In der Nähe des Hotels befinden sich mehrere öffentliche Parkhäuser. Die nächste Möglichkeit ist die "Sonnenhof Garage" in der Landwehrstraße 10. Die günstigste Möglichkeit ist die "Contipark Tiefgarage Stachus" in der Herzog-Wilhelm-Straße 11.

Here at the KOOS Hotel Munich, we have our own little power station - right on the roof! Our photovoltaic system, proudly positioned on the rear building, is our shining contribution to a greener future.
The system has been in operation since February 2023 and, with an output of 50 kWp, brings a real energy revolution to our roof. This sunny innovation not only provides us with clean energy, but also makes a clear statement: we are committed to sustainability that pays off. For us, our guests and, of course, the planet. Every day, it converts the sun's rays into electricity, which we use to power parts of our hotel. That's real power coming from above!

Deep below the KOOS, exactly where an oil tank used to be, now beats the heart of our in-house energy supply: our combined heat and power plant (CHP).Commissioned in February 2022, it marks an important milestone on our path to greater sustainability and efficiency.
With an electrical output of 10.7 to 20.0 kW and a heating output of 29.1 to 45.8 kW, our CHP unit is a real powerhouse.It not only supplies us with electricity, but also with heat - in a way that could not be more environmentally friendly.By scrapping the old oil tank and replacing it with this modern system, we have taken another step away from fossil fuels and towards a greener, more sustainable energy source.
The principle behind a combined heat and power plant is simple but ingenious: it generates electricity and usable heat at the same time through cogeneration.This means that we can drastically increase our energy efficiency and significantly reduce our carbon footprint. With every watt of electricity and every unit of heat produced by our CHP, we move further towards self-sufficient and environmentally friendly hotel operations.
